Quagmire
Last Thursday and Friday, it rained. A huge, slow, wet system up from the Gulf (thanks a lot, Gulf!) that dumped 3 full inches into my rain gauge in town, and — needless to say — inundated my swimming pool.
Gaaaa.
I dug more ditch, all the way to the edge of the clearing and the water began to drain, a brown rivulet like chocolate milk.
Good ol’ gravity took the water down about 90% in 4 hours.
But, there’s no way can the house be set up in this quagmire, nor can the foundation guy put in footings and foundation. What’s your favorite technique for exercising superhuman patience?
